Pre-Release Detailed Known Issue List (build-1445)
Render time displacement is functional but currently very bug prone and in active development
both Analytic and Heightfield Buffer (HF) displacement are prone to errors when combined with ray traced shadows, and/or when reflective
transparent displaced surfaces, including refractive surfaces, are not supported yet
deforming meshes will displace consistently but are not supported by deformation 3d motion blur or vector motion blur
3D Motion Blur:
3D Motion Blur works fine in the following situations:
Moving Cameras
Non-deforming, moving arbitrary meshes
On Special Brazil r/s objects (sphere and plane)
3D Motion Blur may not function as expected in the following situations:
Deforming animated meshes. Renderer set up during this phase may be intolerably slow, and artifacts may result.
Particle Flow motion blur is currently very basic and is supported via deforming object blur and is therefore also subject to the bugs/limitations present in deforming object blur
Standard 3ds Max particle systems do not motion blur properly yet.
Render to Texture support is currently somewhat limited and has a few bugs
Only the CompleteMap? type is supported, so it's not possible to bake out multiple effects in one render
Pad values other than 0 cause incorrect alpha channel output
